The Johor Darul Ta’zim FC (JDT) Academy has seen eight of its trainees move up the ranks to join the senior team and JDT II competing in the two tiers of professional football in Malaysia.
Ramadhan Saifullah Usman, Arif Aiman Hanapi and Feroz Baharudin have all made their JDT senior debut. Ramadhan scored four and assisted one in the nine matches he has featured.
Meanwhile the likes of Gabriel Nistelrooy Anak Tamin, Asmirul Husaini Zamri, Ahmad Aysar Hadi Shapri, Rafiefikri Rosman and Aiman Danish Azli Abdul Azam have featured for JDT II in the second tier Malaysia Premier League.
Aysar was even the youngest player in the Premier League in 2020.
The eight players have spent at least two years with the JDT Academy before being promoted. For the record, JDT are the only Malaysian team with a full-fledged football academy from Under-12 to Under-21. Luaskan Kuasamu Johor.
