Johor Darul Ta’zim FC (JDT) were informed by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) that Arif and Endrick were injured. Medical tests by the National Team doctors revealed that the two players were out for 6-7 days. Arif first reported his hamstring injury to the national team doctors before the friendly against Turkmenistan last week while Endrick was taken off at half-time due to an ankle injury.
National team doctors confirmed on Sunday that both players were unavailable to play against Hong Kong so JDT requested for the duo to be released back to club because the national team call-up ends tomorrow and we will be able to monitor the players better and nurse them back to full fitness over a longer period of time.
There’s no point of the duo remaining in the national camp when they have been ruled out of the next national team match due to injury. JDT would like to thank the national team for agreeing that it was best for Arif and Endrick to continue their treatment with us in order to be ready for coming club and national team matches.
