Johor Darul Ta’zim FC (JDT) Head Coach Benjamin Mora became the first Mexican in Malaysia to receive the “Distinguished Mexican” award as a recognition for his achievements with JDT and promoting the good image of Mexico.
    This distinction was granted by the Ministry of Foreign Relations of Mexico through the Institute of Mexicans Abroad and Mexican embassies to recognise the outstanding contributions of Mexicans living abroad.
    The award ceremony was graced by HRH Major General Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Crown Prince of Johor, Ambassador of Mexico to Malaysia H.E. Carlos Felix Corona, JDT officials and Mora’s family and friends.
    Mora, who is the first Mexican to coach a professional club in Malaysia, joined JDT in 2016 as JDT II head coach before being promoted to the senior team, winning three Malaysia Super League championships and three other Cups since. Luaskan Kuasamu Johor.
