The Johor Darul Ta’zim FC (JDT) Academy is the only full-fledged professional football club academy in Malaysia complete with education, accomodation, football training and a career path.
Having attained the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Two-Star Academy badge under the AFC Elite Youth Scheme (Under-12 to Under-19), the Southern Tigers academy are truly the premier academy for aspiring footballers in Malaysia.
In addition to unearthing and grooming talent for football, the JDT Academy also emphasises on education. While those aged below 17 and below go to school together from the academy’s hostel at University Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), the older teenagers have an option to further their studies after completing secondary school.
Last year, JDT and UTM signed a player education development agreement offering a special Sports And Fitness Diploma Programme for JDT Academy trainees.
The programme offers an option to JDT Academy trainees to continue studies as they chase their football dreams. The trainees under the diploma programme also have an option to complete a Bachelor’s Degree programme. Luaskan Kuasamu Johor.
