Johor Darul Ta’zim FC (JDT) would like to clarify that there was an overwhelming turnout for the JDT Academy trials at the JDT Junior Training Centre at Padang Mawar yesterday, 12 May 2023.
The JDT Academy conducts trials several times a year for talents that are spotted by our extensive scouting network throughout Malaysia.
Having only conducted closed door trials in the past years, the trials yesterday was open to certain age groups. However, the turnout was beyond expectations as many aspiring youngsters clamoured for a chance to be part of the only full-time professional football club academy in the country. We regret that we were unable to cope with the extraordinary turnout compared to our previous trials.
The JDT Academy will conduct more trials in due course and will continue to send scouts to all youth tournaments, not only in Johor but throughout the nation to ensure talents are not missed.
The JDT Academy offer successful trialists professional football coaching, education and accommodation. Among the likes who have gone from JDT Academy trainee to senior team football include Arif Aiman Hanapi, Ramadhan Saifullah, Feroz Baharudin and K. Daryl Sham.
