Johor Darul Ta’zim FC (JDT) were second in the list of top 10 Asean clubs in AFC competitions in 2022 following a historic run to the AFC Champions League Round of 16 — a first for a Malaysian club.
JDT topped a ACL group comprising Japan’s Kawasaki Frontale, Republic of Korea’s Ulsan Hyundai and China’s Guangzhou before losing out to finalists Urawa Reds in the knockout rounds. JDT were only bettered by BG Pathum United, who were also knocked out by Urawa Reds in the same competition.
JDT are Malaysia’s only representative in Asia’s elite club competition. Luaskan Kuasamu Johor.
