Inspired by the club’s desire to set the benchmark in the football scene, Johor Darul Ta’zim FC (JDT) will premiere an exclusive music video of a renowned international artist titled ‘Pioneers’ tomorrow.
JDT have been the pacesetters on and off the field in Malaysian football since the club was established in 2013, thus synonymous with the term ‘Pioneers’.
Success on the field have been unprecedented. Eight consecutive Malaysia Super League titles compared to a previous best of two straight league title, a first AFC Cup for East Asia in 2015, 19 trophies in 9 years and countless of domestic records.
JDT also set the standard in terms of facilities, being the first club to show a serious interest in having a proper football ecosystem — from a state-of-the-art Sultan Ibrahim Stadium and world class JDT Training Centre to a full-fledged all encompassing JDT Academy. JDT are also constructing a new one-stop training centre that will further elevate the club’s standing.
The Southern Tigers’ stature has also grown tremendously away from the pitch to become among the most recognisable sporting brands in the region. In addition to attracting major international partners and collaboration with renowned club such as Juventus, Valencia and Borussia Dortmund, the club also featured at the World Football Summit when owner HRH Major General Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Crown Prince of Johor appeared as guest speaker.
