Johor Darul Ta’zim FC and @UNICEFMalaysia joined hands for the betterment of children ahead of 2021. Having partnered to champion children’s rights, JDT and UNICEF have embarked on a series of campaigns and awareness programmes throughout the year.
The Southern Tigers honoured the partnership by prominently displaying the UNICEF signature on the front of the 2021 home and away jerseys, a slot usually reserved for lucrative shirt sponsors.
Given the impact of the pandemic on children and families in Malaysia, JDT and UNICEF also launched a vaccination campaign to build the trust of people in Malaysia in COVID-19 vaccines. Last month, in conjunction with World Children’s Day, we launched a mental health awareness campaign to bring the matter to the public’s attention. With support from Meta, it was further promoted on Facebook and Instagram to help spread the messages to the wider community.
During various special festive and occasions, including Ramadan and Hari Raya, Earth Day and World Immunization Week, we supported each other through advocacy, via #HealthyEating, #EndChildAbuse and #VaccinesWork messages.
Together, JDT and UNICEF championed for children.
