JDT’S 2022 AFC CHAMPIONS LEAGUE PERFORMANCE HELPED MALAYSIA SECURE MORE SLOTS IN ASIA
Johor Darul Ta’zim FC’s qualification to the AFC Champions League Round of 16 moved Malaysia up into the top 10 in the continent and forth in East Asia after overtaking Thailand, Vietnam and China.
Malaysia will now have two direct entries into the 2024 AFC Champions League groupstage and two more qualifying slots, potentially enabling a maximum of four teams in Asia’s elite club competition.
