HRH Major General Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Crown Prince of Johor officiated the Luciano Figueroa Stand at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium on Tuesday. Also in attendance was Argentinean Ambassador to Malaysia H.E Manuel Balaguer Salas.
“This club will always recognise and appreciate those who have contributed and created history with the club,” said HRH Tunku Ismail.
Figueroa joined Johor Darul Ta’zim FC (JDT) in 2014 and enjoyed two spells as a player, scoring 43 goals and assisting 14 in 71 games, before becoming Manager in August 2018. He also served JDT as Club Ambassador in 2017.
The former Argentine international won two Malaysia Super League titles (2014 & 2015), 2015 Charity Cup and the coveted 2015 AFC Cup as player.
Figueroa has also won two Charity Cups (2019 & 2020), 2019 Super League and 2019 Malaysia Cup to date as manager. Luaskan Kuasamu Johor.
