    SIXTH ANNIVERSARY — SULTAN IBRAHIM STADIUM TIMELINE

    ULANGTAHUN KEENAM — GARIS MASA STADIUM SULTAN IBRAHIM

    22 Februari 2026. Memasuki usia enam tahun Stadium Sultan Ibrahim, Iskandar Puteri. Tampil sebagai aset kekal paling berharga milik organisasi Kelab Bolasepak Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) dan antara stadium terbaik di Asia.

    Berikut adalah garis masa ‘Home of the Southern Tigers’;

    1. 30 November 2015 — Idea membina stadium baharu bertaraf dunia Kelab Bolasepak Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) dicetuskan oleh Duli Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Mahkota Ismail, Pemangku Sultan Johor.

    2. 24 Januari 2016 — Duli Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Mahkota Ismail membawa khabar gembira kepada penyokong setia Kelab Bolasepak Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) apabila baginda bertitah akan membina stadium baharu berkelas dunia buat JDT.

    3. 30 Januari 2016 — Upacara pecah tanah pembinaan Stadium Sultan Ibrahim di Iskandar Puteri disempurnakan oleh Duli Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Mahkota Ismail.

    4. 31 Mac 2016 — Ilustrasi awal Stadium Sultan Ibrahim didedahkan kepada umum.

    5. 2 Januari 2017 — Ilustrasi sebenar Stadium Sultan Ibrahim didedahkan kepada umum.

    6. 13 Februari 2017 — Gambaran terkini Stadium Sultan Ibrahim didedahkan kepada umum selepas beberapa perubahan dilakukan oleh Duli Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Mahkota Ismail.

    7. 16 Ogos 2018 — Duli Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Mahkota Ismail meluangkan masa memeriksa serta melakukan demonstrasi terhadap jenis rumput baharu yang akan digunakan di Stadium Sultan Ibrahim, yang mula ditanam di pusat penempatan sementara bagi memastikan kesesuaian penggunaannya.

    8. 28 Ogos 2019 — Duli Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Mahkota Ismail berazam menjadikan Stadium Sultan Ibrahim terhebat di Asia Tenggara, antara terbaik di Asia, selain diiktiraf oleh Konfederasi Bola Sepak Asia (AFC) dan FIFA.

    9. 11 November 2019 — Duli Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Mahkota Ismail mencuba rumput Zeon Zoysia yang bakal menjadi lapangan rasmi Stadium Sultan Ibrahim.

    10. 30 Januari 2020 — Stadium Sultan Ibrahim siap sepenuhnya.

    11. 22 Februari 2020 — Stadium Sultan Ibrahim, Iskandar Puteri dirasmikan oleh Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim dalam sebuah majlis penuh gilang-gemilang.

    12. 11 Mac 2021 — Memenangi anugerah ‘World Stadium Of The Year’ melalui undian awam dari laman web Poland, StadiumDB.com pada tahun 2021.

    SIXTH ANNIVERSARY — SULTAN IBRAHIM STADIUM TIMELINE

    22 February 2026. Sultan Ibrahim Stadium, Iskandar Puteri marks its sixth year. It stands as the most valuable tangible asset of Johor Darul Ta’zim FC (JDT) and is among the best stadiums in Asia.

    Below is the timeline of the Home of the Southern Tigers:

    1. 30 November 2015 – His Royal Highness Tunku Ismail, The Regent of Johor announced an idea to build a world-class stadium for Johor Darul Ta’zim FC (JDT).

    2. 24 January 2016 – His Royal Highness Tunku Ismail, delivered good news to Johor Darul Ta’zim FC (JDT) fans as His Royal Highness decreed that a new world-class stadium would be built for JDT.

    3. 30 January 2016 – A groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Sultan Ibrahim Stadium in Iskandar Puteri was officiated by His Royal Highness Tunku Ismail.

    4. 31 March 2016 – The initial illustration of Sultan Ibrahim Stadium was revealed to the public.

    5. 2 January 2017 – The actual illustration of Sultan Ibrahim Stadium was revealed to the public.

    6. 13 February 2017 – The latest visual of Sultan Ibrahim Stadium was revealed following several changes made by His Royal Highness Tunku Ismail.

    7. 16 August 2018 – His Royal Highness Tunku Ismail inspected and conducted a demonstration of the new grass type to be used at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium, which was first planted at a temporary site to ensure its suitability.

    8. 28 August 2019 – His Royal Highness Tunku Ismail expressed determination to make Sultan Ibrahim Stadium the greatest in Southeast Asia, among the best in Asia and recognised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and FIFA.

    9. 11 November 2019 – His Royal Highness Tunku Ismail tested the Zeon Zoysia grass, which would become the official grass of Sultan Ibrahim Stadium.

    10. 30 January 2020 – Sultan Ibrahim Stadium was fully completed.

    11. 22 February 2020 – Sultan Ibrahim Stadium, Iskandar Puteri was officially inaugurated by His Majesty King of Malaysia Sultan Ibrahim in a grand ceremony.

    12. 11 March 2021 – Won the World Stadium of the Year award through a public vote on the Poland-based website StadiumDB.com in 2021.
