UTUSAN INTERVIEW WITH HRH MAJOR GENERAL TUNKU ISMAIL IBNI SULTAN IBRAHIM, CROWN PRINCE OF JOHOR

QUESTION: JDT have handled the crisis well. Despite reducing the salaries of players, coaches and staff by 33 percent, overall the team has not been affected. Can you share with us the steps taken by the management?

ANSWER: Actually it is not 33 percent but 25 percent for two months. After the players resumed training in mid-June, we began to pay their salaries in full. The salaries were first reduced by 25 percent, then 30 percent and now we are paying them in full because we are thankful to the players for cooperating and agreeing with the club’s decision. We do not make any decision by taking advantage of the players or lying to them. We make decisions as a family.
