Johor Darul Ta’zim FC (JDT) are providing quality exposure to youngsters at JDT II in the Malaysia Premier League.

    Having taken an approach to develop youngsters together with older and more experienced players, JDT II have featured 15 players aged 23 years and below in the opening five matches while 12 of them were 21 years and below.

    17-year-old Ahmad Aysar Hadi, who was the youngest player in the 2020 Malaysia Premier League, has started four matches thus far while teenagers Rafiefikri Rosman and Firdaus Ramli have put themselves on the scoresheet.

    21-year-old centre-back Feroz Baharudin, who is actually registered with the senior team, has scored three goals in three games. Meanwhile 20-year-old Nafizuddin Fikri has two assists from the five matches he started.

    JDT II has also seen seven senior team players feature intermittently to improve fitness and share their experience with the team’s aspiring youngsters. JDT II have utilised 26 players in total and currently sit third in the standings, four points behind leaders Negeri Sembilan but with one game in hand. Luaskan Kuasamu Johor.
